The ark bears the Name, the name of the Lord of Armies who is enthroned between the cherubim. (2 Samuel 6:2)
David was dancing (or “whirling”) with all his might before the Lord wearing a linen ephod. (2 Samuel 6:14)
Father, as the ark once bore your name, I bear your name. I represent you to the people around me.
So help me to always remember who you are: the great King, enthroned between the cherubim.
You are worthy of my honor and full obedience, even in the “small” things. (1 Chronicles 15:11-15)
And yet you are a King that is so good to me, choosing me to be your own.
So let me be fully and completely yours, with a heart ever whirling and dancing with your joy.
