Contemplating God’s faithful love

God, within your temple,
we contemplate your faithful love. (Psalm 48:9)

I took those words to heart this morning.

I was thinking of all the people God has brought into my life.

I was thinking of all the events, both good and bad, that God has led me through.

And all that brought to mind an old song I used to sing at my church back in Hawaii.

All I need is your love in my life.
Your faithfulness will comfort me.
’cause while my life may change, your promises hold true.
I grow strong trusting in you. — Mark Souza

I have seen God’s faithful love in my life. And so I sing with David,

This God, our God forever and ever—
he will always lead us. (Psalm 48:14)

I’m praying that I can pass that confidence on to my daughter and to all the next generation.
