“Your sins are forgiven”

Then he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” (Luke 7:48)

I wonder. How often do I feel the weight of those words?

The woman certainly did.

I, on the other hand, probably take them too lightly. Maybe because I take my sins too lightly.

If I felt the weight of those words, how much more gratitude would I have to the Lord?

How much more would I love him?

And how much more would I show grace to those around me?

Lord, let the weight of your words sink deep into my heart. “Your sins are forgiven.”
