And just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we will also bear the image of the man of heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:49)
Lord Jesus, you became one of us that we might become like you, bearing your image.
That’s my hope.
That even now, in all my struggles with sin, you continue to work in me, purging my sin, and making me more like you.
And your grace to me will not be in vain.
I will be like you.
I look forward to the day when I will perfectly bear your image in every way.
Until that day, by your grace and strength, help me be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in your work.
I’m confident that my work in you is not in vain.
And neither is your work in me.
