I have a hope

Acts 24

I have a hope in God, which these men themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection, both of the righteous and the unrighteous. (Acts 24:15)

Father, I have a hope.

I have a hope that in this broken world where people lie, where rulers oppress their people, where politicians are corrupt, where we see evil and injustice everywhere, nevertheless, Jesus is Lord of all.

And the day is coming when he will judge all people, the living and the dead, and justice will finally be done.

So let me not get so worked up about the evil I see around me. Instead like Paul, let me be your ambassador, focused on your kingdom, in grace and love pleading with those around me on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to your good King!”

Lord Jesus, in this broken world, let your kingdom come.
