But go to my brothers and tell them that I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.” (John 20:17)
“My Father.”
“My God.”
It’s easy for me to take those words for granted.
But to be able to say them is a privilege that Jesus bought for us with his own blood.
The curtain that separated us from the Father has been torn open.
We don’t have to say, “Jesus, please talk to your Father for us.”
We can come directly to God, and say, “My Father. My God.”
I think that’s what I’m going to do today as I pray.
Come before him, and take a few minutes to simply revel in the privilege of saying, “My Father. My God.”
