Free from accusation

1 Corinthians 1

He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful; you were called by him into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (1 Corinthians 1:8-9)

I really liked the Japanese translation of “you will be blameless.”

It essentially says, “with no area in which you will be accused.” Or perhaps more naturally in English, “free from all accusation.”

There are times when I will hear accusing voices in my head, reminding me of all my sins and shortcomings.

But I refuse to listen to those voices.

My God is faithful. And this faithful God will never give up on me. He will strengthen me to the end until I become like his Son. Now and forever, Jesus is my righteousness, sanctification, and redemption.

And I am free from all accusation!
